Payroll & Accounts Assistant

Artemis are excited to be working in partnership with our client to help them hire and experienced payroll professional to take on a Payroll & Accounts Assistant vacancy. Joining a small, warm and experienced team, this person will be responsible for payroll processing 3 days per week and supporting general accounting duties the rest of the week.

**The role**:
- Input payroll data from timesheets
- Process payroll fortnightly
- Make statutory payroll returns
- Process new starters & leavers
- Process auto enrol pension upload files
- Resolve payroll queries
- Complete payroll elements of statutory surveys
- Reconcile payroll related balance sheet control accounts
- Assist in development of automatic import of payroll data from timesheet system
- Keep up-to-date with new payroll legislation
- Monthly Bank Reconcilliations. (both euro & stg accounts)
- Inter company account reconciliation (dual currency)
- Period-end and year-end reconciliations and assisting with year-end audit.
- Cash / card terminal balance reconcilliations
- Payment / income processing.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Analysis of different elements of the business.
- Assisting in preparation of statutory survey
**The person**:
- 3+ year's experience within a finance / payroll team.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of accounts and payroll systems
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Flexible and willing to adapt to needs of the business
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent communication & organisational skills.
