Job description

**Position: Administrative Assistant (Maternity Cover with potential to be permanent)**

**Salary**: £20K-£24K Depending on Qualifications and Experience - Annual Leave 25 days per year plus Public Holidays.

Hours - 08:00-16:30 with 30 minutes for lunch Monday to Friday.

Cable Telecommunications Training Services offers an exciting career opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to cover maternity leave, supporting and working with the Senior Management Team carrying out both back office and customer facing duties.

**About CTTS**

CTTS offers nationally accredited qualifications covering a range of skills, including installation, testing and maintenance of fibre optical and copper communication networks for both the internal and external environments, passive optical networks and air blown fibre systems and transport networks, National Roads Telecommunications Services as well as bespoke training programmes for its global clients. Whether an individual requires training or the whole workforce, CTTS has proven experience of accommodating their training needs either at its National Training Centre or at the clients’ premises. CTTS received national recognition in 2002 for the effectiveness of its bespoke training programmes in digital communications by being awarded a National Training Award by the UK Skills Council. CTTS was awarded Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in 2020.

**Your Duties**

Based at our National Training Centre in Lincoln, you will carry out a wide variety of administrative duties. These will include, but are not limited to:

- Handling telephone enquiries
- Booking delegates on courses
- Taking card payments
- Issuing course joining instructions
- Developing and maintaining spreadsheets to log delegates progress
- Registering and certificating delegates with awarding bodies
- Maintaining filing systems
- Printing course materials and associated paperwork
- Hotel bookings
- Maintain and order stationery
- Order corporate clothing

**Essential Skills**

You will have a high level of computer literacy, able to use all programmes within Microsoft office, especially Excel and Teams. You will possess excellent word processing skills to produce reports, invoices, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.

As well as having an ordered, methodical approach to tasks, it is essential that you are flexible and able to work and perform well under pressure and as part of a team.
