Head of Programmes and Service Improvement

An exciting development opportunity has arisen within the Programme Management Office for a Head of Programmes and Service Improvement on a permanent basis.
The Head of Programmes and Service Improvement is a leadership role within the Operational Services and Delivery Directorate reporting to the Head of Operational Services and Delivery. The post will be responsible for the shaping and delivery of our overarching Velindre Futures Major Projects programme alongside our local, regional and national projects.
You will require strong programme / project management skills and will be required to manage the programme working with internal and external stakeholders, including Health Boards, Cancer Network. During the secondment period, the programme includes work on Outreach Services, Acute Oncology Service, IRS and the RSU, TRAMS and the Divisional service improvement Pathway Programme.
As the successful applicant you will be responsible for
Continuing to shape the work programme to deliver the Trust’s Cancer strategy
Directing and motivating project teams to deliver timely, high quality, standardised projects as part of the programme
Managing business change to get the Trust ready for the new Velindre Cancer Centre
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the programme is successful
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
