**The Opportunity**

In order to deliver on planned growth, Roke is expanding it’s operation in Gloucester. As we move to new premises in Cheltenham we will be welcoming 25 new employees via The Roke Academy - a bespoke bootcamp to retrain applicants in software/Cyber engineering in addition to a number of industry experienced hires. It is also an exciting time as we relocate our Intelligence Business Unit to our Cheltenham site.

Reporting to the Senior People Partner - National Security, you will support this expansion and work closely with the Assistant Director for the local client. You will support the business in reaching its commercial goals in relation to employee relations, talent management, best practice, HR policies & procedures, performance management, L& D and helping to influence cultural change and brand enhancement. There is also a requirement to provide HR support to the wider business on a local level.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with good previous experience as an HR Business Partner.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide generalist HR support for all Gloucester based employees and those working for the local client.
- Act as Point of Contact for all HR matters for the Assistant Director and local management team
- Provide project management support and HR expertise to the business with specific HR projects
- Support the development of more junior HR colleagues and support the wider HR Operations team as required.
- Provide personal support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives in the support of the HR strategy, using expert knowledge of the client area
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures including Code of Conduct and the Operational Framework
- Undertake regular travel through the UK to other Roke sites

**Essential requirements**
- Demonstratable experience acting as a HR Business Partner in a Generalist capacity ideally within a similar organisation
- Ability to influence at all levels, make decisions and manage effectively
- Able to work well with a diverse workforce.
- MCIPD qualified
- Experience of managing and implementing projects and change initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of working with either neuro-divergent or ex-military individuals would be an advantage.

**Clearances**

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 5 years for SC.
