Head Receptionist for Dental Clinic

We are currently seeking a Head Receptionist to lead our front of house team and play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our valued patients. You must be a dynamic and organised individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
**We would require you to be a qualified registered Dental nurse and be registered with GDC.**
Denbeigh House Dental Clinic is situated in the heart of one of Birmingham Surburbs.
We are a large mixed dental practice with 6 surgeries providing Private, Denplan and NHS treatment. We also offer specialism services like dental implants, minor oral surgery, sedation and orthodontic treatment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of receptionists to ensure a cohesive and high-performing unit.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, address challenges, and foster open communication.
- Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and refine reception processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices for patient management, appointment scheduling, and communication protocols.
- Work closely with surgeries to streamline cross-functional processes and promote excellent collaboration.
- Reporting of chair occupancy, diary management and financial reporting.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service, ensuring all patients receive a warm and professional welcome.
- Resolve enquiries and concerns promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive and customer-centric approach.
- Implement training programmes that enhance the customer service skills of the reception team.
- Front Desk Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and appointment coordination.
- Complaints handling
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area to create a positive first impression for visitors.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of information and services.
- Recruit and retain Denplan patients
- Weekly/ Monthly reporting of recalls, bad debts, Fail to attend, recruitment of new patients
Qualifications & Qualities:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a reception or customer service setting.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and quick to pick up other software.
- Proficient in using SOE
- Proficient with Denplan membership
- You will be well-presented, passionate and a superb communicator with a desire for career progression and a love or ongoing personal and professional development.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
