**VACANCY FOR CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR/RECEPTIONIST**
**JOB TITLE**: Part time Administrator/Receptionist
**LOCATION**: Newton Mearns Parish Church
242 Ayr Road Newton Mearns G77 6HP
**HOURS**: 9am -1pm Monday to Friday term time, with reduced hours during school holidays
**SALARY**: Hourly Real Living Wage paid monthly in equal amounts in arrears
**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Administration Convenor (on behalf of Kirk Session)
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
To undertake clerical duties in relation to the administration of hall lets, and all other clerical duties aligned to the running of the Church as required by the Minister, Session Clerk or Conveners, including, but not restricted to, the following:
- **Key areas of responsibility**
- To act as receptionist and maintain a presence on the premises throughout the specified times
- To distribute Session notes, Agendas, Minutes to Session members monthly
- To liaise with the Minister, Session Clerk, Conveners, caretakers and contractors as required
- To print the Church’s Order of Service
- To collate finance information and forward to Finance Convener before the end of the month
- To maintain and update the booking diary using Schedule IT and One note
- To distribute hall let terms and conditions to hall let users on an annual basis and to coordinate and manage their return
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
To support our Church and building users we are looking to find someone who has the following skills and personal qualities:
- Friendly, outgoing manner
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with others
- High level of IT skills eg in the use of Schedule IT, databases, PowerPoint
- Some experience of finance and accounting would be advantageous
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
