**Job Summary**

Are you passionate about helping young people aged 8-18 improve their wellbeing and achieve their full potential?

We are looking for highly motivated coaches, with experience working in a community environment, to work on Premier League ‘Kicks’; our community project, using the power of football and sport to inspire young people in areas of high need.

You will be working with our committed PL Kicks team to build a stronger, safer and more inclusive environment within the community.

As a sessional PL Kicks Coach you will:

- Plan and deliver creative, engaging activities to ages ranging from 8-18 years old;
- Develop positive relationships with all participants within your programme as well as with parents, teachers, partners and fellow coaches;
- Work closely with your line manager to ensure the Palace for Life coaching curriculum is adhered to;
- Signpost participants to suitable exit routes, ensuring high levels of sustained engagement;
- Encourage young people to take advantage of volunteering opportunities and social action projects to give back to the local community;
- Keep all equipment in good working order and report any losses or damage to your line manager;
- Support the administration elements of the programme including session compliance and data collection;
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the children/young people in your care will have fun in a safe environment;
- Support the creation of media information and case studies/good news stories to measure the impact of our programme;
- Attend regular meetings and training for continuous professional development;
- Work flexibly to ensure full and supportive delivery of the programme (including some weekend or evening work);
- Commit to ongoing self-directed learning in order to further develop work related skills and knowledge;
- Have the potential to support a variety of different programmes, including Football Development, Schools, Holiday and Food (HAF) multi activity camps, and Disability sport.

**Job Requirements**

**_ Essential_**
- Level 1 (or above) qualification in coaching football or Youth Work;
- Sound community or education knowledge and experience, with a proven track record of achievement;
- Experience working with children, either in a football, school or holiday course environment;
- Ability to empathise with and give support to participants who may not feel comfortable in learning or sports related environments;
- Be a reliable, organised and caring coach;
- A desire to learn and progress, as well as the ability to be flexible and adaptable.

**_ Desirable_**
- Level 2 (or above) qualification in coaching in football;
- Current DBS certificate;
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment;
- Clean drivers licence;
- First Aid qualification;
- Mental Health First Aid qualification.
