**About who we are**:
Korea Foods Company is the largest importer of Korean food in Europe. Established in 1999, we are a family-run business and operate out of its Head Office in New Malden, Surrey. With a sales turnover of over £40 million, we employ around 270 members of staff, including office staff, warehouse, drivers, and retail staff in 11 retail outlets. Year on year growth is around 15% and continues to grow at this rate during 2021.
**Main Purpose and Scope of the Job**
This role supports the HR Manager to ensure that the business is compliant with all people and ethical standards. You will handle the majority of the administration within the department and have some visibility and development opportunities to grow as an HR professional.
You will also administer and run two monthly payrolls with the support of the finance team and HR Manager.
**Duties and Key Responsibilities**
**Attendance Management**
- Manage the company attendance system and ensure staff understand how to clock in out properly
- Control and monitor staff absence in accordance with the company attendance policy
**Recruitment and Selection**
- Assist the HR Manager with recruitment needs and advertisement
- Prepare the approval forms, starter and induction packs
**HR Administration**
- Maintain the personal files and make sure they are in order and up to date
- Order office stationery and equipment, raise purchase orders on SAP
- Using templates, write required letters/communications to staff
**Person Specification**
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written skills are essential;
- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
- Possess the strong willingness to learn, improve and adapt
- IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Able to work to regular deadlines and prioritise workload according to given timescales with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative, plan and manage own work load to deliver effective services with minimum supervision
- Logical thinker with appropriate negotiation skills
- Have outstanding organisational skills and have a meticulous eye for detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task
