Retail is constantly evolving, which is why we have a diverse Global Business Coordination (GBC) department.

It is our job to think about how we can improve our customers lives, evolve the business, and prepare for the future on an international scale.

We use state-of-the-art technology to bring about digital change that delivers real customer value, internal efficiency and new customer experiences.

This is an opportunity for you to have a truly global impact on our business, driving innovative propositions and services to provide our customers with new and exciting ways to shop and improving the overall customer journey.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Portfolio & Demand Management Specialist based at our Tamworth Office in the UK.

You'll need to develop an excellent understanding of the way the organisation works and the sector it operates in, as you'll be helping to shape the future of ALDI’s Customer Interaction global technology portfolio. You'll also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how technology can support the customer’s needs.

You will need enthusiasm and drive, with proven experience of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will need to think on your feet, be self-reliant, and be a confident individual with a positive attitude.

The role is UK-based, but limited international travel is expected as per the needs of ALDI’s transformation programme, or upon request of the IT Manager.

**About the role**:

- Play a supporting role in the management of global Project Portfolio Management and Demand Management workstreams, engaging key IT and business stakeholders across ALDI’s operating countries
- Prepare and evaluate inbound demand and project requests from international stakeholders, providing strategic direction and recommendations on behalf of the Customer Interaction Domain
- Manage, triage and prioritise national and international demands from the wider business
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the resolution of complex business and technical demands
- Progress demands and project requests in both waterfall and agile settings
- Prepare materials in support of key phases of demands and projects (e.g. presentations, management summaries, steering committees, project charters, stakeholder engagement and communication plans)
- Manage and lead small projects, as required
- Support the Domain IT Manager, as required

**About you**:

- Assessment of demands and project requests, jointly from a business and IT perspective, determining strategic fit and value within the organisation
- Management and resolution of complex business and technical demands
- Technical analysis and reporting of demands for management
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management principles
- A systematic, analytical approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between business and IT
- Good interpersonal skills and is confident in dealing with clients/users, across multiple international locations
- Ability to use initiative to identify work to help shape the department
- Experience of working with large scale software implementations
- A logical and efficient work ethic with a keen attention to detail
- The ability to effectively prioritise own workload and execute tasks

**What you will get in return**:

- Salary starting from £34,825 rising to £50,390
- 5-day/40-hour week, working Monday
- Friday, with an office on demand working model in our Tamworth office (you only come into the office when requested)
- 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Full training provided with ongoing personal development opportunities
- Company sick pay scheme
- Pension scheme
- Company maternity, paternity and adoption leave pay after 2 years
- Long service rewards
- Access to MyBenefits, where you can find a wide range of benefits, including our bike to work scheme, shopping and cinema discounts, health cash plan, a FREE will, travel and discounted gym memberships, as well as a host of benefits to support your financial and wellbeing needs
- Access to a free, 24/7, confidential virtual GP service for all Aldi Colleagues and their children (under the age of 16)
