An opportunity has arisen for a 12 month fixed term/secondment part-time (30hpw) Band 3 Administrator to work in the Northumbria Healthcare Trust Palliative Care team.

The post holder will provide a high quality, comprehensive administrative service to enable the efficient running of the Palliative Care service's admin team. Duties will include answering the phone, processing mail, inputting of referrals onto the clinical system (SystmOne), booking and minute taking for meetings, ordering office stock, data entry and collection of monthly statistical information and general office duties.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. **Essential Criteria includes**:
- Good standard of general education
- Have a working knowledge of word processing skills or have an RSA level lll/ ECDL or equivalent
- Previous NHS/Social Care experience
- Ability to work within a clear policy of confidentiality.
- Relevant experience as an administrator or secretary.
- Experience of Minute taking and general administration of meetings
