We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen in our Norwich team, for a Senior Clinical Assistant to join the team and help us continue to deliver outstanding clinical care for our patients.

We are looking for someone who will thrive on working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinic Assistants, Ophthalmic Assistants, Patient Administrators, Nurses, ODPs, Ophthalmic Technicians, Optometrists, and Consultant Ophthalmologists. **What will the role involve?**

Our Senior Clinical Assistants are responsible for supervising and motivating our Clinical Assistant team, to maintain our exceptionally high level of patient care. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day running of clinic and be proactive in reporting any issues to management. Senior Clinical Assistants will plan the staffing schedules in advance and take the lead on training and mentoring of new Clinical Assistants. You will also undertake the daily Clinical Assistant role; performing a range of diagnostic and clinical tests to provide our consultants with the relevant information for diagnosis and treatment.

**What skills & experience do I need for the role?**
- Experience of leadership and employee training is desirable.
- Excellent at staffing planning and ability to coordinate a team effectively.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
- Previous experience working with patients, carers or customers with a passion for providing exceptional standards of care/customer service.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask and keen attention to detail.
- Enjoys working with a range of people and can tailor approach to a diversity of patient needs.
- The ability to work on own initiative and escalate matters when appropriate.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Confident using Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new patient record systems.
