Description

Apprentify are hiring for an ICT Apprentice on behalf of our client, who are looking for someone to provide general ICT support to the current IS Administrator and European staff. This will include basic IT diagnosis and fix, undertaking routine maintenance of resources and equipment, support of common software packages used in the business and other general tasks as appropriate under the supervision/instruction of the IT Administrator.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate database of hardware and software, ensuring it is up-to-date.
- Demonstrate secure operation across platforms in accordance with organisational guidance and legislation.
- Operate a variety of mobile devices effectively, including phones and laptops.
- Support the use of technology throughout the business, ensuring that equipment and server rooms are maintained to a safe standard by assisting with regular (ICT) room health checks of ICT resources.
- Gain working knowledge of cabling, connectivity, antennas, wireless systems, and IT test equipment.
- Understand the importance of disaster recovery, maintaining and implementing recovery plans.
- Assist in deploying computer hardware and software across the business.
- Repair and maintain equipment, preparing routine equipment for use within specified timeframes.
- Assist in maintaining the business information database, producing reports, and data as requested.
- Ensure all aspects of technology used are GDPR compliant.

Entry requirements
- No formal qualifications required as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Limited technical knowledge, e.g. understand the basic PC and Software

Training to be provided

You will be enrolled onto the groundbreaking, Level 3 Apprenticeship 'Information Communications Technician'.

Our ICT apprenticeship covers topics allowing apprentices to support organisations relying on computer and communication systems in all areas of their operations and decision-making processes. As an ICT apprentice, you will develop skills and knowledge of the industry by learning key IT essentials such as fault finding and diagnostics, preventative measures, routine maintenance, system tools and testing. You will also gain an awareness of cloud systems and physical and virtual network components including an awareness of security and firewalls, network architecture, protocols and principles of database migration.

Whether you have experience within the field or not Apprentify’s level 3 ICT apprenticeship will give you the tools to get your career started within IT support.
