To support the strategy & services of the training and competency function and to ensure compliance with training and competence requirements, in accordance with company and client processes and procedures. The Training and Competence Coordinator will join the centralised team and work towards super-user administrator status within Onboard Tracker, as well as promote the use of Onboard Tracker by providing support to internal stakeholders including Training Champions.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Responsible for due diligence checking of training and competency records/system to ensure full compliance with company procedures
- Issuing reminders to all office personnel regarding upcoming training renewals
- Support Operations teams in arranging and coordinating personnel attending competency tests / training as recommended by Managers
- Support in coordinating in-house training and providing internal certificates, where applicable
- Update incoming certification and competency within the Company training system, Onboard Tracker
- Create new training items, competencies, groups and other key fields within Onboard Tracker
- Provide access and guidance to Onboard Tracker for internal stakeholders
- Support with Trade Assessment process and employee personal development plans
- Ensure mandatory training is monitored, maintained and completed within a timely manner and is in line with the agreed client and site training matrices
- Identify training gaps, develop gap analysis plans and perform regular audits and gap analysis on personnel training records by running weekly reports
- Support the business and participate in the continuous review and development of training and competency related systems and processes to ensure they remain robust and fit-for-purpose
- Liaise with the Company’s external training partner to ensure all training requirements are met / support Training Champions with using the external partner system
- Arrange and request training via the external training provider’s electronic system and monitor in progress Training Request Forms (TRF’s)
- Provide management and internal stakeholders on a regular basis, training and competency related reports, as agreed
- Develop training and competence plans/reports for review with the client and project management team
- Contribute to the team, sharing best practice and building a “one team” culture
- Collaborate with other Training Champions to share best practice
- Ensure participation in performance through the relevant processes and initiatives ensuring the appropriate knowledge and skills are in place
- Liaise and support the Training & Competency Manager in supporting management, operations and employees to ensure awareness and involvement in key training and competency issues/initiatives
- Support smooth interaction between intercompany departments as appropriate
- Provide support to the client, as required
- Proactively ensure compliance (corporate & legislative) in process, documentation, policy and behaviour

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous experience in a T&C or L&D role
- Experience with training systems support
- Previous experience in a fast paced work environment
- Understanding of various industry Awarding Bodies
- Knowledge of the oil & gas industry (desirable)
- Familiarity with Competence Management Systems and processes (desirable)
- Able to work under own initiative & operate under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal & influencing skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to plan project to delivery
- Understanding of the training and competency function
- Good written and verbal communication skills
