**Part Time, Fixed Term until 5th July 2024**

This is a pivotal time to promote equality and inclusion in Bristol. A great opportunity has arisen to join the Equality and Inclusion team at Bristol City Council.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the team. You will need to be an enthusiastic and resilient person who is well-organised and able to prioritise workloads and work to targets.

You will join a diverse and ambitious team in an organisation that is striving to become an exemplar organisation in the field of Equality and Inclusion.

The purpose of this role is to help promote equalities issues across the council and beyond, to provide support to the team and other equality and inclusion focused groups. You'll work with colleagues to help achieve the objectives of our Equality and Inclusion Strategy.

You will be passionate about finding solutions for the barriers that people face because of their personal characteristics and circumstances, and creative and curious about how we can improve our services to Bristol's diverse population.

Join us and you’ll receive an excellent rewards package including flexible working and flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance. In addition, you’ll be working in a supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.

**How do I apply?**

**For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.**

**For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.**

**If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.**

**For further information, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification or alternatively, please contact Aaliyah Miller**
