Since 2018, the Trust’s Patient & Public Engagement, and Arts have been working together and delivered as part of the Heart, Lung and Critical Care (HLCC) Clinical Group. Delivered alongside other depts (including Physiotherapy, Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatry, Palliative care, Nutrition & Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Chaplaincy and Speech, Heart, Lung, Critical Care and Language Therapy) provides a unique opportunity to develop holistic patient services and collaborate on patient-led service improvements across all stages of the patient experience journey.

The role is highly developmental - with many opportunities to lead/collaborate with colleagues, patients and public to increase;
- levels and diversity of patient/family/carer engagement in service improvements and wider Trust activities
- non-clinical, holistic and creative (paid and voluntary) patient services to improve patient experiences of care
- charitable trust income to develop new services/projects to improve patient experiences of care
- visibility through newsletters, events, advocacy and social media
- research with a focus on innovative approaches to on improvement, involvement and engagement
- co-ordinate engagement activities for quality improvement and Trust developments
