Scout (External)

London, United Kingdom Antler Full time

**About this Role**:
Exceptional founders come from anywhere with any background. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. By working with Antler as a scout, you will enhance Antler's reach in the UK and identify even more exceptional entrepreneurs to start problem-solving companies. We're on a mission to be the best place on the planet to find exceptional co-founders.

It will be your role to identify the most exceptional people in your network and enable them to realise their potential by having them join our cohorts. This means understanding what makes an exceptional entrepreneur; drive, grit, and spike; understanding how Antler supports people through its ten-week cohorts; and understanding the performance of those entrepreneurs we've already backed to learn new signals.

**Seeking an Unfair Advantage**:
Antler will partner with you to give you an unfair advantage in identifying the world's most talented, determined, and resilient people. In the UK, we have supported over 500 entrepreneurs and backed 60+ teams beginning their startup journey. While we're proud of those numbers, we must diversify our reach further.

We seek individuals with a strong network in communities underrepresented in entrepreneurship; ethnic minorities, migrants, women, neurodiverse, or those with unconventional approaches to their studies or careers.

**About You**:
You will have a few years of experience and exposure to entrepreneurship, technology or investments. You will be a gifted networker, with a clear connection and demonstrable value add to talented, determined, and resilient people.
- **Passionate about entrepreneurship**:Our #1 principle is Founders first - reflecting that the core of what we do is to help exceptional founders succeed. You have a passion for technology, entrepreneurship and assisting people in building companies.
- **Uncomfortably Ambitious**: another core principle at Antler is to be uncomfortably ambitious. Like the rest of our team, you like to set ambitious goals and work hard to achieve them.
- **Always asking why**:You like to think outside the box and question the status quo. You are motivated to learn and regularly self-directed learning.
- **An exceptional communicator**: You have good communication skills and a genuine interest in other people. We're a global team spread across 20+ offices working at a breakneck pace.
- **100% Ownership**: Driven by excellence, you take full ownership of your objectives, and you also take ownership of our broader mission. You aren't afraid to ask for support and help to deliver. When you see something broken, you default to "let's fix this" rather than "not my responsibility".
- **A problem solver who likes to roll up their sleeves**: Ideally, this is demonstrable by entrepreneurial efforts or leadership of impactful initiative. You have strong problem-solving skills and are a fast learner. You have a bias for action and are excited about moving fast. You'll likely be a confirmed generalist, hustling to take things from zero to one in various projects to get something off the ground.

**What We Offer**:

- For every entrepreneur you refer to Antler that joins our cohort and completes the first two weeks, you will receive a cash amount in recognition for your efforts.
- On top of this, we will deliver a unique series of workshops led by Antler UK's senior leadership team across aspects of the venture capital business model, scouting exceptional entrepreneurs, coaching impactful teams and delivering world-class support to a diverse portfolio.
- You will have access to Antler's UK workspace, filled with driven and exceptional entrepreneurs, and connect with a truly global community committed to making progress inevitable.

**Selection Process**:
We are engaging external scouts on a rolling basis, intending to hold introductory chats and a group interview day sometime in March. We will onboard 2 - 3 scouts initially.

**Details**:
Start date: ASAP

Commitment: Freelance

Remuneration**:Reward basis per referred entrepreneur

Duration: Casual agreement per cohort
