**Location: Douglas, Isle of Man**

**The opportunity**:
As a Senior Compliance Consultant, you will support the development, implementation and monitoring of compliance programs and training initiatives. You will conduct a combination of group led and locally driven assurance activities, working collaboratively with fellow Compliance and other functional colleagues across the business and the wider Group.

You will play a key role in the annual compliance risk assessment process and the development of the annual compliance plan, providing challenge and valuable insight.

Furthermore, you will be using data from our compliance tools and work with or create dashboards enabling us to report risk insight from the assurance work to stakeholders. You will support the simplification of processes and development of skills by the greater use of technology within the Compliance function.

**Key responsibilities (what you will do)**:

- Support the Senior Compliance Manager, Monitoring & Advisory, in reporting the outcome from assurance activities, providing insight regarding trends and potential areas of heightened risk.
- Contributing to the overall development of the function by simplifying processes, incorporating new technology into existing processes, particularly with the use of data analytics.
- Providing support to the ongoing assessment and insight into key compliance risks and evaluate potential impact on the Annual Compliance Plan.
- Contribute to the recurrent reporting deliverables of the Compliance function with reporting that should be content-focused, action orientated, providing a comprehensive view on outcome, key risks and trends as appropriate.
- Ensuring coordination and alignment with other business and Group functions, e.g., Risk Management and Audit, as required.
- Contribute to the delivery of the wider responsibilities of the Compliance function, incorporating support to business functions and projects in the provision of compliance advice, compliance awareness &training, tracking and communication of regulatory and compliance policy changes and management of compliance tools and systems.
- Present on compliance related matters to stakeholders as required.

**Your skills and experience (What you bring)**:

- Educated ideally to bachelor’s degree level with some relevant work experience or have a proven level of relevant prior experience, supported by the successful completion of professional qualifications.
- A keen interest in data analytics and broadening compliance skills generally.
- Committed and determined to meeting deadlines.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated, curious, and pro-active approach to work.
- Strong team player as well as the ability to work independently.
- Willing to challenge current processes and practices with a view for improvement.
- Knowledge of Zurich and of the business would be highly beneficial.
