Planning Administrator

**Hours**: Initial training period hours will be 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.
**Contract**: Fixed Term Contract and Permanent roles available with different shift patterns.

Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover's new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

Working within a fast paced warehousing and distribution environment, you will be required to support day to day planning and analysis activities. We would be keen to hear from you if you're an experienced planner.
**As part of your key responsibilities you'll**:
- Resource planning for operational areas
- Support and maintain accurate and robust daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) for activities and highlighting where these are not in line with current practices
- Identify, using Root Cause Analysis, any process failure issues and report and remedy using our continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Provide administrative support to your manager and colleagues as appropriate
- Collate and analysing data
- Deliver concise and accurate information to operational management and the wider operation
- Manage the release of operational workload in Warehouse Management System (SAP EWM)
**About You**:
- Good communication skills - spoken and written - confident with the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders of differing levels
- Good IT skills - particularly Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP's)
- Must have experience in Planning
- Logical thinker with skills in understanding and interpreting data
- Commitment to self-development
- An understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service and understanding customer requirements
- Ability to deliver high quality administrative expertise
- Strong organisational skills with ability to cope with the demands of a fast-moving and ever-changing set of priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive and flexible; proven track record of quality results delivery to deadlines
- Experience in working in a project team with deadlines
