Accounts Assistant/bookkeeper

We are a well-established family run business who has been trading for 20+ Years, our Bookkeeper who has been with us for 15 years is retiring in December and we are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to replace her.

**Duties include**:

- Sales ledger
- Purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliation
- VAT
- Printing off reports, Balance sheet, P&L’s and other reports for director
- Wages for 40 employees - this is to include pensions scheme.
- Assisting the accountant with information for them to complete accounts.
- Petty Cash and credit card entries
- Some HR duties - Holiday forms, new employee start sheets etc

- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Competent in Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Have a "can do" attitude.
- Have a good work ethic and sense of initiative.
- Have good time management and organisation.
- Be able to undertake more than one task at a time.
- Be a team player.
- Have confidence in their own abilities.
- Be comfortable sharing ideas and knowledge in group environment.
- Be presentable and approachable.

**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
