As our **Finance Assistant **you will primarily be responsible for the operational requirements of the Finance functions.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist the purchase ledger with inputting and coding of invoices ensuring the appropriate level of authorisation has been obtained.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any resulting issues.
- Assist the sales ledger with raising customer invoices, chasing overdue debt and allocation of receipts received.
- Assist in preparing bank reconciliations.
- Support Cashier with making Payments and collection Direct Debits
- Processing, coding and checking corporate credit card transactions ensuring appropriate receipts have been provided and costs are within company policy.
- Checking and processing of employee expenses ensuring spend is within company policy and appropriate approval has been obtained.
- Administration of statutory accounts analysis for AIS members.
- Chasing of overdue financial information from members.
- Record and maintain member credit scores using credit reference agencies highlighting any significant changes.
- Record member security information and monitor expiry dates.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of credit limits.
- Monitor and report on member balances against credit limits on a regular basis.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of members to ensure changes in circumstances are reported as quickly as possible.

**What we’re looking for in our Finance Assistant**:

- Hold a finance qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA)
- Intermediate computer skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, and diligent.
- Effective interpersonal skills ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently and with tact.
- Attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy for all work.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to think creatively and think outside the box. Propose new solutions in order to find ways to deliver the best outcomes
