Who will you be working with?
As part of the Reliability team, you will have the opportunity to join our team at the LH Group (a Division of Wabtec UK Ltd) based in Burton on Trent where we support our customers through maintenance and operation optimisation with customised solutions for spare parts, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.
Role: Technical Administrator

Location: Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, (DE13 8EN)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00pm and Friday 07:30am to 12:30pm, 37 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
How will you make a difference?
This is an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of our Reliability department. In this role, you'll be tasked with contributing both on the Shop Floor/Workshop and in back-office functions.
What will your typical day look like?
Office Based Functions:
- Receive claims daily, process and update relevant systems and spreadsheets.
- Following full on the job training produce engine and transmission reports from strip down notes.
- Processing Depot parts requirements and placing items on order.
- Maintaining depot agreed stock lists and checking stock take results when received, communicating any anomalies to the customer, and resolving queries.
- Receive and resolve queries from other areas of the business.
Workshop Based Functions (Full on the job training to be provided):
- Observing engine and transmission strip downs - participating over time with experience and on the job learning
- Observing component strip downs - participating over time with experience and on the job learning
What do we want to know about you?
- A background or keen interest in mechanical machinery is desirable.
- Able to work on their own and as part of a team.
- Able to communicate with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- This role will require the successful individual to be hands on in a workshop environment.
