The HR Apprentice will be developing their human resources skills with on the job training and in association with Blackpool & The Fylde College, we will induct you on to the CIPD Level 3 course to grow you knowledge further. This will assist you in providing support to the wider Group HR Team in delivering a high quality, customer focused service.

BES Utilities are a UK based, independently owned group of companies, comprising of Business Energy Solutions Ltd and BES Commercial Electricity Ltd. With offices manned by local employees based in Fleetwood, Lancashire, BES Utilities aims to provide first rate utility services to businesses across the United Kingdom.
We care about customer service and at BES our customers come first. We aim to deliver gold plated service and resolve customer queries and/ or complaints at first point of contact. Our contact centres can be contacted at any time during business hours from 0830 to 1730 each Monday to Friday.
We have around 850+ members of staff and proud to be apart of a diverse group of businesses that are based on the Fylde Coast, Manchester and South Africa.
**Main Responsibilities (but are not limited to)**:
- Be the first point of contact for all HR related queries; verbally or in-person
- Assist in the administration of HR related documentation, such as letters, contracts of employment, leavers’ and pension information
- Update the relevant HR database to ensure the data is accurate and complies with relevant legislation including payroll data and contact information
- Assist the HR Officer with daily absence reporting for the group of businesses
- Assist in the on-boarding process of new employees
- Process joiner and leavers, issue ID cards, references request’s and keep trackers up to date
- Take minutes and record meetings where appropriate
- Assist in the collation of data for HR reports and management information
- Support the HR team in all areas as and when requested
- Any other duties within reasonable request.
**Training and Development**:
You will be guided in your learning journey, helping develop your skills and industry knowledge. The company has successfully grown its work force through the Apprenticeship Scheme. Due to the nature of the apprenticeship full training and support will be provided over the apprenticeship course with the opportunity to further your career within the company afterwards.
**Requirement to be considered**:
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s (Grades 4 - 9) including Maths and English being essential
- Willingness to work towards CIPD Level 3
- Previous experience in an office / telephone-based environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and other teams within the department
- Experience of Microsoft Office is essential
- A high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
- Attention to detail.
