You will provide assistance to the Health Care Groups in embedding consistent processes and best practice principles associated with digital solution implementation.
IT literacy, flexibility and the ability to travel across the PAHT estate is essential. You will have excellent communication skills and confidence in working with Nurses, Midwives, administrators, Doctors and other health professionals. You will be required to work closely with the ICT support services and Project Managers as required. Supporting clinical staff will be of key importance to improving the overall quality of patient care.
There is a requirement for this role to operate as part of an on-call rota as and when required and includes rotation weekend working as part of the core delivery hours.
- Work within varied clinical environments and settings, supporting administration and clinical staff.
- Work alongside trainers in classroom settings, supporting the delivery of training as classroom assistants.
- Confident and effective communication skills are essential in order to deliver one-to-one and group support and to deliver key messages to a diverse range of users.
- Support colleagues as an active member of the Programme team.
- Able to empathise, reassure and encourage End Users, offering guidance, direction and when appropriate effective signposting
- Update and maintain any support materials in line with any service changes as requested by the line manager.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.
We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.
- Provide ‘floorwalking’ support, being visible on the front line across PAHT as part of the ICT support team
- Be an advocate for the ICT department and the implementation of the EPR and relevant systems across PAHT.
- Work in partnership with key workstreams throughout the Programme to plan and deliver support to end users.
- Support the Project Managers and the Training Manager with the creation of project related materials as required.
- Attend training and maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of PAHT systems.
- Actively participate in the overall development of the service
- Support the ICT Data Quality Manager in seeking resolution for current data quality issues.
- Complete tasks in line with the needs of the wider programme on behalf of the Programme Management Office or as directed by the Training Manager.
- You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the workforce and to provide support as and when necessary to individuals and groups, this will include evening, night shifts and weekends.
- You may frequently travel between sites and hot desk as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all system users, Department and Health Group Managers, Managers and all third party users, ensuring the aims and interest of the Trust are communicated, monitored and actioned effectively.
- Provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues where required.
- Provide support and guidance to Trust users on data quality issues and ensure that where further training is required, this is logged and followed through.
- The post may be required to take part in an on-call rota as well as being required to support the provision of out of hours (weekends or evening) support services if there is a business requirement to do so.
- Feedback any issues, performance improvements, etc. to the relevant department in ICT
- Champion ICT services and communicate the vision into the Health Care Groups
- Support the end users in completing relevant ICT forms, self-service, process, procedures, etc.
- Work closely with the Business Partners to ensure the needs of the Health Care Groups are met and incorporated into Tactical and strategic plans.
- At all times you will be expected to present themselves as an ambassador for the Trust and its objectives
