- We are currently seeking a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You may have previous experience working as a Housing/Neighbourhood Officer, Independent Living Manager or a Tenancy sustainment Officer looking for change a new challenge. As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will support individuals in finding a new home through choice-based lettings or accredited landlords.
- Assisting individuals with the arrangements to move to their new home, you will deliver individual, positive outcome-focused support, ensuring they can successfully claim their home loss and disturbance payments.
- You will also provide practical support and information to clients, from assisting them in placing bids through choice-based lettings and liaising with potential landlords to accompanying them on viewings and helping to complete tenancy agreements and welfare benefit claims.
- Additionally, you will:
- Undertake assessments of customers
- Assist customers with day-to-day tenancy issues
- Provide updates to stakeholders regarding the status of each resident and property
- Maintain an accurate and timely record of all activities

**About You**

To be considered as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will need:
- Experience working within a similar or related field and/or environment
- Experience of partnership and multi-agency working
- Experience working positively with people in crisis and/or displaying challenging behaviours
- Experience advising and assisting people with managing their tenancies
- Knowledge of current legislation regulations and standards relating to Housing Management Services
- A clear understanding of social housing and welfare benefit issues
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle

**Overall Aim**
- Supporting individuals in finding a new home through choice-based lettings or accredited landlords. To provide the highest level of communications and interactions to ensure engagement with our customers.
- Working collaboratively with the customer to create a personalised, outcome focused action plan of their decant journey.
- Supporting individuals to arrange moving to their new home. Working to ensure Customers successfully claim their homeloss and disturbance payments.
- Attend and support viewings and sign ups when necessary.
- Promote action plans, ensuring that customers receive personalised positive services to sustain independence.
- To sign-post residents to specialist support services where required
- To keep accurate, robust records on our Housing Management systems
- Work with internal and external partners/stakeholders to ensure customers specialist support needs are met.
- Providing regular updates and positive contributions to stakeholders.
- To work alongside the Housing Management team to provide a seamless and joined-up service to customers, to include, tenancy management, ASB, tenancy audits, rent area discussions and other housing management tasks that support the customer during transition.
- Support effective void management, working closely with the asset team and local authority.
