An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a part time Clerical Officer to work with the Stockport Colorectal Nurse Specialist Team.

The role involves a wide range of clerical duties.
The post holder will be based at Stepping Hill Hospital and will under supervision, be responsible for the preparation of CNS records for the Specialist Multidisciplinary Team (SMDT) meeting and in addition provide general administrative/clerical support to the Stockport Colorectal Nurse Specialist team.

It would be a distinct advantage to have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Good organisational and time management skills
Excellent team player
Very good IT skills and experience with Microsoft packages and databases.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- As directed by the Colorectal Nurse Specialists (CNS), provide a wide range of clerical support to the team.
- Maintain information storage system for easy retrieval e.g. general filing. This includes managing out of office storage system, for non-active CNS records.
- Pull CNS patient records from the CNS files and clinic templates, organise these for cancer follow up clinics. This includes requesting basic blood tests for routine clinics.
- Obtain test results/reports for SMDT meetings as per weekly SMDT discussion list issued every Wednesday. Provide assistance to the CNS team in the preparation for weekly SMDT. This will on occasion involve liaising with Cancer Services
- Order office supplies and manage all stationary including patient information leaflets. Print and photocopy documents for internal distribution
- To assist in the maintenance of IT equipment within the services including fax and printers.
- Carry out typing of CNS letters as directed
- Support the CNS team with the introduction of new initiatives e.g. Recovery package
- Act as a runner between offices and clinics as request by the CNS team
- Carry out any other duties and service needs as directed by the CNS team
