**Job Purpose**

The Pledge Facilitator plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between businesses and young people by facilitating meaningful connections and delivering impactful youth work sessions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with groups of young individuals aged 16-19, while also building rapport with businesses, schools and colleges.

Leading the local Pledge offer within your assigned area, you will be required to design, set, organise, and deliver community programmes over a 9-month period. These programmes will be centred around inspiring, informing, and communicating with the next generation, with a strong focus on coordinating engagement efforts with employers. By acting as the glue that supports relationships between young people, employers, schools, and youth groups, you will ensure that businesses have the opportunity to develop a future pipeline by inspiring and nurturing the next generation of young workers.

**Job Context**

The Pledge Partnership puts employers at the heart of inspiring, informing and communicating with the next generation in local areas.** **The Pledge was launched in June 2019 and is made up of 9 local Pledges that cover the whole of the Cheshire and Warrington sub-region.

The Pledge brings over 500 organisations together, including 400 employers, all of the secondary schools and FE colleges and most special needs schools, youth community and charitable groups, local authorities and employer led organisations.

Due to the successes of the Pledge we have secured funding to extend its provision and impact within Cheshire and Warrington, Liverpool, or Manchester.

**Key Responsibilities**

Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging youth work sessions to groups of young people aged 16-19. Coordinate various activities, workshops, and events over a 10-month period to promote personal development, foster positive values, and build essential life and employability skills.

Put employers at the heart of inspiring, informing, and communicating with the next generation. Establish and cultivate strong relationships with employers, schools, youth groups, and other key stakeholders in the community. Act as a liaison to facilitate communication and collaboration between them all to provide opportunities for young people to explore potential career paths and gain valuable work experience.

Support the coordination of activities in the local areas and develop a coherent calendar of activities such as digital expos, employer visits and speakers in schools, careers fairs, colleges and community events such as National Citizen Service programmes, town-wide events and those led by uniformed and non-uniformed Youth Groups.

Convene the local Pledge management and operational groups, providing agendas, taking minutes and distributing documents for meetings.

Maintain relationships with all Pledge partners and external bodies/ organisations and promote The Pledge to a wide range of stakeholders in order to recruit more employers and other partners to the Pledge.

Support local businesses to meet their future employment needs by providing ideas, guidance and networking opportunities with other businesses to help them develop a future talent pipeline for their business and sector.

Facilitate employer networking and meetings to share good practice and lessons learned

Monitor, track and report on project progress, budgets, expenditures, plans and handle any issues that arise. Maintaining comprehensive project documentation and management products such as: registers, plans, and reports.

Ensure compliance with company and project standards, procedures and ‘best practice’ processes, and all directives are constantly being met.

Other ad hoc project and program, administrative, operations and support duties.

- Oversee and ensure that HSE-related documents are in place and kept up to date for all delivery partners.

In addition, you must cooperate with the charity on health and safety matters and must not interfere or misuse anything provided for health, safety and welfare purposes.
