Participation and Engagement Co-ordinator

The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy of engagement and involvement of people with lived experience of perinatal mental health services in the growth, learning and delivery of services across Cheshire and Merseyside. They will ensure meaningful and representative involvement with our many stakeholders, with a focus on service users, family and carers is promoted in our Perinatal Services in Cheshire and Wirral Partnership Foundation Trust and Merseycare Foundation Trust. This will be done in conjunction with a counterpart in Merseycare Foundation Trust.
The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users’ and their carers.
The post holder will continue the development of the participation and engagement of service users and carers in all aspects of service delivery and development.
The post holder will build upon genuine and meaningful working relationships with all agencies with a vital role in the care of service users, carers and families.
The post holder will be one of the key points of contact in the Perinatal Mental Health Service for involvement, participation and engagement queries requests from both staff, people who use the service and carers.
To plan, develop, co-ordinate and facilitate involvement opportunities which are meaningful and appropriate to the individual services whilst keeping the ideas and needs and service users at heart.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
