**HR Officer**
Due to the fast growth of the business and higher-level HR requirements, an opportunity has presented to expand my client’s HR Department. I am seeking an enthusiastic experienced individual to join a small but busy HR Department.
**Activities & Responsibilities**
- First point of contact for general HR-related queries
- Provide timely and accurate HR advice to managers and employees in accordance with policies whilst ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Work in partnership with managers on performance management, reviews, creating development plans, salary benchmarking, promotions and coaching for difficult conversations.
- Advise and support managers and employees on attendance, performance, and capability issues in line with policies.
- Maintain and monitor annual leave and sickness records ensuring a clear and effective process is adhered to.
- Lead / support disciplinary and grievance casework ensuring legislation, best practice and policy is followed.
- Assist with the improvement developments for the Company on / off boarding processes.
- Liaise with Accounts Department regarding salary, pension, and healthcare queries.
- Interpret and advise on Employment Law related matters.
- Analyse training requirements in conjunction with Managers and employment law.
- Monitor, issue and chase all aspects of Key Policy training.
- Issue training reimbursement agreements
- Keep accurate employee records and maintain accuracy in line with compliance of legislation.
- Help drive a holistic and seamless HR service to the business.
- Assist with implementation of culture change and reward & recognition initiatives.
- Compliance with Company Management Systems supporting improvement, identifying, and reporting issues.
- Book and monitor employee training courses ensuring employee records are updated accordingly.
**Key Skills**
- Ability to communicate with managers and employees in a professional and effective manner.
- Self-motivating, innovative and work with little supervision
- Competent in Microsoft Office / Word / Excel and good use of spreadsheets and formulas.
- Knowledge of PeopleHR desirable (not essential)
- A high level of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Tact and diplomacy
- The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
- Minimum of 3 years in HR Officer / Advisory role (essential)
- CIPD Qualified (essential) Ideally Level 5 or above
Please note that this role is an onsite position.
**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
