A fantastic new opportunity working as a full-time Payments Officer role based in Oldham. This 2-month temporary role has an excellent hourly rate on offer between £13.00 - £14.00 per hour.

My client is a non-governmental organisation that assists peoples with a humanitarian focus in local communities to implement a safe environment to live in.
**Description**
**The key responsibilities of aPayments Officer will include, but may not be limited to;**
- Ensure that the finance sub-ledger is accurately maintained
- Relevant control accounts are reconciled
- Ensure all information regarding financial data is passed on to the department and acted on correctly, in a timely manner
- Processing high volumes of electronic and manual invoices
- Ensuring internal and external queries are dealt with promptly
- Completion of payment runs to suppliers are paid correctly
- Process CHAPS payments and maintain Supplier/ Tenant bank details
- Assist in the development of plans and timetables that allow timely information and processing deliveries
- Suggest improvements to Payment processes
- Operate internal controls and to identify and rectify errors
- Support/ train business units to manage the end to end P2P
- Support the internal and external audit
**Profile**
**The successfulPayments Officer must possess the following skill set and experience.**
- Background working Not for Profit and Charities or Housing Associations
- Proven customer service background
- Good management and organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial desirable
- Able to challenge, engage and influence
- Proven knowledge of rent accounting, housing and housing benefit regulations and legislations
- Ability to work as a team and adapt to change
