**About Our Client**:
Our client is a housing association based in North Manchester who are driven by improving the lives of the local communities that they support. They deliver excellent services including quality homes plus landlord and support services which help to create thriving and independent communities.
**The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Officer will include, but may not be limited to;**
- Scan, process and match all invoices received and ensure all clients are invoicing in a timely manner;
- Liaise with suppliers on all invoice queries in a professional and efficient manner.
- Liaise with debtors to monitor outstanding debt, chasing outstanding debt;
- Ensure all invoices are processed and paid on time
- Manage information provision to and from suppliers enabling smooth monitoring and payment provision;
- Perform regular administrative duties such as petty cash control including handling cash and monitoring spend;
- Assist in the month end and year end timetable, including system closure and reconciling ledgers;
- Process and code transactions for credit card statements, supplier direct debit payments and other cashbook transactions for accounts payable and receivable;
- Process weekly BACS Payments for approval via internal workflows.
**The Successful Applicant**:
**The successful Accounts Payable Officer must possess the following skill set, in order to be considered;**
- Background in Not for Profit and Charities desirable
- Experience of undertaking Purchase ledger work within a finance function;
- Experience of and familiarity with general principles of budgets and budgetary control;
- Experience of working successfully as part of a team by building effective relationships with the ability to anticipate problems and find appropriate solutions to these, without requiring constant supervision;
- Ability to prioritise work;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to travel to Oldham
- Experience with Open Accounts and E-bis would be advantageous.
