**Role overview**

The purpose of the post is to provide effective Business Support to the Lifelong Learning Service. The post holder will carry out all administration for the Discretionary Learner support fund and in addition to this minute take at Portfolio and service meetings.

**Key responsibilities**
- Provide an excellent level of customer service for learners who apply/receive the Discretionary Learner fund
- Data entry including checking documents for completeness and accuracy; attention to detail and an ability to work to required standards with little close supervision is essential.

**Key Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

- Experience in providing high quality business support combined with excellent administration, ICT skills and organisation skills.
- Have excellent customer service skills to deliver polite, courteous and efficient service to colleagues, partners and service users
- Have the ability to work under pressure to competing priorities and demands.
- Have excellent time management skills, be a flexible team player and be able to work at pace with excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience of working in a Lifelong Learning Service would be beneficial
