This is a fantastic opportunity to work for and train in a welcoming, friendly and creative school as an Apprentice School Administrator. Applicants would be expected to build up the necessary skills required to provide an effective reception service, answering routine telephone and face-to-face enquiries, along with general admin duties.

**Duties**
- Managing new pupil paperwork and maintain school management

information systems.
- To provide administrative and or secretarial support including travel arrangements, use of school premises, and collating reports to meet the school’s administrative requirements.
- Assist with school trips and events, liaising with appropriate service users within agreed policies and procedures to meet the needs of the school.
- Producing a range of detailed documents to meet the needs of the school team.
- Set up and operate basic filing and retrieval systems for the school to support efficient record management and compliance with data protection requirements.
- To maintain a wide range of manual and computerised records/management information systems and support efficient school management.
- Handle a wide range of queries and ensure they are dealt with efficiently and within agreed standards.
- Undertake reception duties, answering telephone and face to face enquiries, signing in visitors to meet service standards.
- Participate in team development activities and assist less experienced colleagues when appropriate to support the achievement of individual and team performance and development objectives.
- Generally, assist the Leadership Team with secretarial duties.
- Production of and distribution of school newsletter.
- Management of school’s social media.
- Undertake a range of appropriate administrative duties to facilitate and support the work of the school, under the direction of the Operations
- Liaise on behalf of the school leadership team with outside agencies as required, including making outgoing telephone calls as required and requested.
- Dealing with enquiries from staff, governors and external agencies.
- Plan, co-ordinate and implement the school diary and Headteacher’s diary and meeting schedules to ensure that business is completed within agreed standards and meets the

schools requirements.
- Preparation and submission of Pupil Census returns.
- Filing and retrieving records, setting up and operate basic filing and retrieval systems for the school to support efficient record management and compliance with data protection/ GDPR

requirements
- Record Keeping, maintaining a wide range of manual and computerised records/management information systems to meet agreed service standards and support efficient school

management
- Participate in team development activities and assist colleagues when appropriate to support the achievement of individual and team performance and development

objectives.
- Co-ordinate the provision of stocks of resources and office supplies to minimise waste and maintain the effective operation of the school.
- Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies to ensure a safe working environment
