**Support To Succeed
- Team Leader**

Working Well: Support To Succeed is a new programme of activity which identifies, engages, and supports economically inactive Greater Manchester (GM) residents (aged 19 and over) who are furthest away from the labour market, with complex needs (including those who are not engaged with mainstream provision) to address barriers and achieve positive onward destinations.

The programme will also have a dedicated offer for economically inactive residents aged over 50 who experience age-related challenges.

The emphasis of this programme is on engagement, and re-engagement, with mainstream provision and employment for some of the regions most disengaged, economically inactive residents. There are several other UKSPF (UK SHARED PROSPERITY FUND) funded programmes which will work together to ensure a whole system approach to attracting, engaging, retaining, and progressing participants, whilst addressing and removing barriers.

What you’ll be doing
- The role of Team Leader will support the Operations Manager to Inspire, motivate and lead a team of Key workers. Embedding a high-performance culture to ensure an execution of all contractual delivery supported by exceptional quality and compliance, within budget, through effective management and leadership.
- Meet, and strive to exceed, personal and Team performance targets (Key Performance Indicators).
- Lead, inspire, motivate, and coach team(s) to achieve team and individual targets.
- Work collaboratively with Operations Manager and support functions, such as, Employer Services, Integration, Finance, Quality & Compliance to support customer progression and achieve the best outcomes for customers.
- Drive a high-performance culture in line with The Growth Company and Athena’s vision and values.
- Facilitate high frequency engagement activities with the team you are leading, via daily calls, weekly reviews, monthly team meetings, 1:1 performance reviews and monthly caseload reviews.
- Attend relevant meetings across Greater Manchester, such as 'Local Engagement Meetings' to promote programme awareness and encourage appropriate referrals'.
- Ensure all required contractual service standards are achieved by the team and take appropriate actions to address any under-performance.
- Utlilise continuous improvement techniques/strategies to support the enhancement of the service for all stakeholders.
- Fully understand the regional labour market, including identification of emerging sectors and opportunities for the customer base to benefit from.

What you’ll need
- The role requires experience of working and training people with multiple and complex needs. Post holders need to be highly organised, self-motivated, engaging, and supportive. Occasionally the position may require setting up learning opportunities including workshops and bespoke programmes of work.
- Previous line management experience working in a fast paced environment or on funded contracts
- Working knowledge of the Employment & Skills sector and the local labour market across Greater Manchester and surrounding areas
- Be prepared to work flexibly across Greater Manchester, including any necessary travel and overnight stays.
