Position Summary

As an online team, we are building expertise and capability and are focused on delivering ambitious sales numbers this year whilst in parallel rapidly determining and building the foundations of our new business model.

Within the Online Commercial team we own the delivery of our direct to customer sales which includes determining our online proposition, pricing & promotions plan, developing new routes to market, trading and optimising our online merchandising, and critically delivering our customer promise through our third party logistics and customer service teams.

The wider digital team includes Digital Marketing, UX/Optimisation and Analytics.

Role and Responsibilities

What will this role achieve?

As a Demand Planner you will be working with the retail operations and commercial teams to ensure stores have the right products and stock to improve sales opportunities.

What will be your key deliverables?

Continuously improve the forecasting model to ensure it is always relevant- Gather market insights from relevant parties to support the forecasting model- Attend trading meetings with internal/external clients- Analysis of forecast accuracy and constantly improving the model for the future- Management of various products categories for the concession stores- Build demand forecasts, both short and long term across assigned product ranges- Monitor and analyze forecasts in conjunction with factories, retail sales & marketing and product divisions- Providing store sales forecasts to relevant purchasing teams to ensure sufficient stocks are procured for the stores- Management of various products categories for the concession stores- Building good relationship with supply chain teams to ensure the allocation of stock is aligned to the forecast- During peak trading periods or unexpected out of stock situations, negotiate with supply chain teams to bring forward future demand or obtain additional stock from other channels

Skills and Qualifications

What do we need for this role?- Supply Chain, Demand Planning and forecasting experience within a retail, FMCG business- Knowledge of advanced planning techniques - S&OP, capacity planning etc.- Advanced Excel skills essential (including pivot tables, vlook ups etc)- The ability to work in a fast paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team- Must have an analytical attitude

Success will be delivering a seamless customer experience from ordering to on time delivery to the customer.
