**On Board System Compliance Administrator**

At Northern, we aim to develop and champion excellence in not only our services but also our people. We have the opportunity for a On Board System Compliance Administrator to join our Engineering team to support, organise and maintain information relating to our On Board Systems.

As the On Board System Compliance Administrator, you’ll be responsible to support the team, maintain and update accurate records and reports, and contribute towards the compliance of our On Board Systems. You’ll support the team by ensuring all existing and planned works comply with regulatory requirements; assisting the identification, cataloguing and maintenance of up to date knowledge of all regulations, international & rail industry standards, and industry advice. The work you’ll do will ensure compliance whilst keeping accurate records of any changes and how they affect Northern.

In this robust role, you’ll develop and maintain reports that reflect Engineering Performance; as well as information relating to the risk management regime to ensure compliance. You’ll support consistent, measured, and reported compliance improvements, supporting the development of best practices, and sharing them within the business.

You’ll also get the opportunity to collaborative work with the On Board System Compliance to innovatively seek and support the development of new technology, systems, or ways of working and develop strategies to implement the technology on both new and existing platforms.

**Role Responsibilities**

Your main duties include but not limited to:

- Develop and maintain the risk management regime to ensure compliance with NIS(D) requirements.
- Ensure reporting is in place for effective controls to mitigate operational risks relating to cyber security. Including control effectiveness as part of regular reporting.
- Develop and maintain procedures that monitor and determine the effectiveness of each cyber security control and identify potential improvements.
- Developing and maintaining reports to demonstrate successful and non-disruptive changes.
- Support the management of the supply chain to deliver best practice; ensuring appropriate commercial agreements and cyber security certifications are in place and are monitored.
- Develop and maintain supplier reports to demonstrate effective management.
- Develop and collaborate on process improvements that strive to increase operational efficiency including new software tools, operational procedures, system automation and colleague engagement.
- Participate in development of incident management and business continuity processes and plans in relation to onboard systems, including off train components. Contribute towards regular exercises to demonstrate their effectiveness. Develop and maintain reports regarding service levels that reflect normal, degraded and disaster recovery scenarios.

**Desirable - Training can be provided**
- Experience of Information Technology and Operational Technology convergence and appropriate standards for Cyber Security
- Experience of Supporting Critical National Infrastructure
- An understanding of NIS(D) compliance requirements
- Successful delivery and operation of Information Technology & Operational Technology systems.
- Securing Operational Technology systems in line with good practices
- Experience of engaging and managing suppliers for their delivery of compliant services.
- Managing a cross functional environment to coordinate Information Technology and Operational Technology requirements to maintain a safe and reliable modern service to customers.
