London, United Kingdom The Sloane Court Clinic Full time

OVERVIEW OF SLOANE COURT CLINIC

The Sloane Court Clinic is a renowned centre for private outpatient psychiatry and psychology in London. We are a team of highly experienced clinicians, many of whom are leading authorities on psychiatric and psychological disorders, academics, and medical authors from a range of countries.

The team comprises 40 clinicians, and 10 individuals working in Operations.

Our operational and clinical work is split into a hybrid model, with some days of remote working, and some days at our clinic in Sloane Square, Chelsea.

At Sloane Court Clinic our employees are our most valuable asset. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive work environment where every individual can thrive, learn, and achieve their full potential. To make sure that our employees are fully trained, onboarded and set up for success we ask that the first 4 weeks are attended in person at our clinic in Sloane Square, Chelsea.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Patient Services Co-ordinator role supports the activity of our Patient Services team (consisting currently of two other Patient Services Co-ordinators), and will be supervised by our Patient Services Lead. The role ultimately reports to the General Manager.

The role will primarily entail routine clerical and administrative tasks, as well as direct patient and clinician liaison.

The role has the potential to develop over time, so would be well-suited to an individual with an active interest in the field of Mental Health, and who might like to increase their involvement and responsibilities over time (with a sliding pay scale to match).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The key responsibilities and duties of the role are below;
- Booking and amending patient appointments
- Data collection and entry of new patient registration forms
- Processing patient prescription requests, including the provision of signed prescriptions to pharmacies, on request
- Issuing the clinic lists throughout the week to our team of clinicians
- Managing and executing the patient recalls function
- Managing and executing the patient feedback function
- Managing and executing the patient outcome measures function
- Managing the clinician availability updates
- Managing incoming referrals and liaising with the appropriate clinicians regarding these
- Providing a warm and welcoming ‘patient reception’ role in the physical clinic building, as required
- Maintaining the building standards at the physical clinic
- Manning the clinic phone line, dealing with patient and prospect enquiries
- Holiday cover of colleagues within the Patient Services team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

We do not require formal qualification for this role, but would ask that applicants;
- Are compassionate and sensitive to working with a clinical population
- Are diligent and detail-orientated; in healthcare it is vitally important that tasks are not missed or mis-reported, as there can be real-world serious impact if a mistake is made
- Are strong and confident communicators; a background in customer service (or similar) would be beneficial
- Have a strong ability to communicate in verbal and written English, to a professional standard
- Are able to confidently and effectively multi-task; the nature of the clinic is that there are often interruptions when working (patient contact, urgent clinical request, etc) and it is vital that applicants would be able to handle the interrupting query, and return mindfully to the scheduled tasks when complete
- Are comfortable working in flexible environments; it is likely that part of this role will be remote, and so applicants should be confident in managing their time and workload without in-person supervision

DESIRABLE SKILLS

It would also be a benefit to us if the successful applicant was a proficient typist, as elements of the role may occasionally require support to the Medical Records team.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The starting salary for this role is £23,500 pa, plus pro-rated overtime (if worked).

Benefits include pension contribution, and quarterly group Schwartz sessions with a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
