Job Title: Autism Practitioners / Support Worker - South West
Location: Biggar, Lanark and Carluke, South West Area Services
Position Type: Full Time & Part Time
Pay Rate: £10-14 per hour
Scottish Autism is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Autism Practitioners in the South West area. We value the specialist support our staff provides to autistic individuals, and as an Autism Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services. Full-time and part-time positions are available, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop personalised support plans for supported individuals.
- Build positive relationships with supported individuals.
- Work in partnership with supported individuals, their families, and health professionals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the individual's life goals and aspirations are central to their support.
- Enable supported individuals to participate in chosen activities and maintain their tenancies.
- Provide support with personal care, promoting independence, and facilitating community inclusion.
- Undertake shift work, including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in social care is essential.
- Willingness to learn and develop into the role.
- 1 year UK care experience
- Car drivers essential
- Extensive autism-specific training provided.
