**Training Officer**

Keane Premier Support Services are looking for an experienced domiciliary care trainer to join our growing service.

As the Training Officer, you will play a key role in designing, delivering, and coordinating training programmes for our support workers. Your expertise will contribute to the professional development of our support workers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care within the community.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are meeting the expected care standards, inducting all support service employees, and ensuring that training processes are followed from initial training through to community shadowing.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Carry out new start training to ensure employees gain and develop the skills required to carry out their job to a high standard.
- Delivering induction training to all team members.
- Maintaining care workers training files.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training programme which improves staff understanding, enhances their practical skills and engages employees throughout the business in line with care inspectorate requirements.
- To assist the delivery of SVQ training for staff.
- Liaising with the Service Manager on monthly training audits.
- To build effective relationships with Care Inspectorate and local authority Commissioners.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the requirements of Care Inspectorate and implement these in employee training.
- Deliver training updates to all support service employees as and when required.
- Deliver additional one to one and group sessions as needed to meet the learners needs.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to new and existing staff.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in the health and social care sector.
- Train the Trainer Qualifications.
- Experience of designing, developing, and delivering inhouse training programmes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organisation and planning abilities.
- Confident working within a team, as well as being self-motivated to work autonomously with mínimal supervision.
- Flexibility to meet the operational needs of the company.
- SVQ Assessor Qualifications (Desirable).
- Full UK driving Licence (Desirable).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
