What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Head of HR Operations to join our Talent Team.

In alignment with the Chief Human Resources Officer of Cleveland Clinic London, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive short-term and long-range plans for Human Resources initiatives to enhance operations, programs and services.

The role provides consultative support for workforce issues that impact operational strategy in conjunction with the HR COEs - Talent, Reward, Learning Development & Engagement. You will ensure the linkage of human resources strategies with business needs and manages the relationship to support those needs.

The Head of HR Operations leads and oversees a team of HR Business Partners, HR Partners and HR Coordinators, also leading and overseeing the Cleveland Clinic London in-house Occupational Health Service.

The position comprises part of the HR Leadership Team, sharing ownership and leadership of the whole HR service, incorporating Cleveland Clinic values and leadership principles while leveraging support and resources from the global Cleveland Clinic enterprise.

What will your duties include?

Leadership & Team:
- In conjunction with the CHRO, serves as the primary communicator of Human Resources activities, programs, services and policies to all caregivers.- Serves as a developmental coach while collaborating with Learning in efforts related to change management, team effectiveness, and leadership development.- Oversees and directs the work activities of the Human Resource Operations team members (HR Business Partners, HR Partners, HR Coordinators and others) by development and execution of strategies and operational leadership to support business objectives.- Oversees Occupational Health Service, including coordination and administration of occupational health resources and activities.

Supporting HR Centres of Excellence:
- Ensures that the interests and needs of departments are represented to the HR Centers of Excellence for optimal design and delivery of all HR Programs and Services.- Supports talent management initiatives which focus on attracting, recruiting and developing talent; aligns, engages, measures and rewards performance while controlling or reducing people costs.-
- Supports the wider HR function with leadership development and assessment process, identification of high potentials and succession planning efforts.-
- Works closely with the Reward team in resolution of issues related to job design, evaluation, market analysis, etc.HR Operations:
- Aligns with managers and employees in defining and following through with objectives, actions, and behaviours that enable the achievement of department objectives.- Builds an environment in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence requirements and advising management on needed actions.- Develops policies and procedures that align with the business goals and perpetuate continuous improvement.- Reviews and analyses human resources metrics on productivity, turnover, vacancy rates, employee engagement, etc., to identify trends and proactively assesses the work climate.- Develops comprehensive, proactive employee relations and engagement programs.- Investigates employee complaints and makes recommendations to business leadership.- Provides confidential counselling to employees and managers, interprets policy and supports development of employee activities that promote positive employee morale.- Consults with management on complex employee relations issues and assists management with assessment of performance deficiencies and development of plans to address issues.- Plans, designs, executes and evaluates diversity initiatives related to education, employee engagement and patient care.
