Hotel Receptionist and Reservationist

Boutique Hotel Group owns three luxury hotels and wedding venues set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic **Receptionist and Reservationist** to join our team at Peckforton Castle.
**Reporting to the Reception Manager, your main duties & responsibilities will be**:
**Receptionist**
- To assist in the smooth operation of all areas of the Reception department.
- To check guests in and out and process payments accurately.
- To verify reservations through the reservation system.
- To deliver excellent customer service, responding to any guest requests efficiently and effectively and ensuring a warm welcome
- To be responsible for switchboard operation, transferring phone calls to correct extension and taking accurate messages.
- To collect, post, and balance payments to the Rezlynx system, and cash up at the end of the shift.
- To inform guests of amenities available as well as pertinent hotel information at all times.
- To maintain the front desk area in a neat, organized, and stocked manner at all times.
- To follow all hotel policy and procedures, including SOP’s, HR and H&S.
**Reservationist**
- Switchboard operation and transferring phone calls to correct extension or taking accurate messages.
- Making reservations for guests using the Reslynx system
- To be fully aware of all rates and promotions and to quote such rates in line with hotel revenue strategy, ensuring maximum occupancy and rate are achieved at all times.
- To be fully conversant with all reservation procedures including cancellations and no-shows, and adhere to these procedures at all times. To chase all unconfirmed bookings, ensuring they are confirmed or released in accordance with hotel policy.
- To deal with all internal and external customers in a professional manner, to ensure complete satisfaction at all times, whilst adhering to hotel standards.
- To develop and maintain customer relations to the highest standard, answering all telephones promptly and correctly.
- To develop an accurate working knowledge of the hotel bedrooms and public areas in order to show current and potential clients the hotel and facilities.
- To ensure all incoming correspondence is actioned promptly and accurately and any request responded to courteously and within the same working day.
- To maintain an accurate and logical filing system for correspondence relating to bookings and enquiries.
- To complete 1, 3, 5 & 15 day reservation checks, ensuring wedding blocks are monitored closely and rooms released in line with booking T&C’s.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer care

- Previous reception experience would be desirable

Hours of work are 7am to 3:30pm, 10am - 6:30pm and 2.30pm to 11pm on a rota basis including weekends.
Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in the UK in order to be considered for this position.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £22,000.00 per year
