Customer Care and Operations Administrator

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our customer care team in Sheffield. As you coordinate sales from prominent universities and scientific research institutions around the world, you will gain new skills that will help you navigate the complicated world of international trade. You will also act as the primary point of contact for our customers, both throughout the ordering and fulfilment process and beyond into after-sales support.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to learn and grow with an established university spin-out company as we pave the way to the next generation of solar cells, displays, and electronics. No previous experience of international trade is required, but you will need to be a quick learner, have a passion for customer service, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
**The Role**
Your day-to-day activities will include working with our customer relationship management (CRM) system and other related platforms to:
- Prepare customs documentation and commercial invoices
- Book shipments and track packages around the world
- Liaise with couriers to ensure quick and efficient delivery
- Provide accurate information for customs clearance
- Keep our records up to date and prepare orders for shipping
- Assist with general enquiries and turn customers into fans
Full training will be provided to give you a practical working knowledge of key aspects of international trade, including tax requirements, delivery incoterms, customs formalities, shipping logistics, sanctions compliance, and more.
**About You**
Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. In addition, you should meet the following essential requirements:
- Office and customer service experience
- Methodical and diligent work ethic
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong IT skills including Excel
- Excellent record keeping capabilities
- The right to work full-time in the UK
- Ability to commute to Attercliffe, Sheffield
In order to provide our customers with first-rate customer service, you will also need to be able to meet strict deadlines and complete a variety of tasks within specified timeframes. A keen eye for detail will ensure that our customers receive their orders quickly and accurately.

**Salary**: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience
**Hours**: 35 hours per week (nominally 9am - 5pm)
