Transport Administrator

J Medler Haulage Co Ltd is located in Norwich, Norfolk and provide a range of road haulage services across the UK. We currently have a vacancy for an office administrator in our transport team covering transport assistant duties and account management. This is a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and is good with account management in a busy office environment.
Applicants must be self-motivated, have excellent knowledge of Sage accounts, have the ability to work using their own initiative, but most of all be able to work as part of a team. Excellent customer care and a 'can do' attitude is essential.
**Key Roles / Responsibilities**:
- Working alongside the transport manager and other office staff
- Raising invoices, self-billing, credits, excellent knowledge with SAGE is a must
- Managing cash posting
- Dealing with queries
- Filing paperwork invoices, statements, processed jobs
- Essential knowledge of Microsoft packages is required
- Resourceful and capable of working as a team member
- Flexible and adaptable in completing varied tasks
- Good communication skills
- Excellent Organisation skills
- Account Data inputting
- Job inputting
- Liaising with customers via telephone to take collections / customer query resolution
- POD processing (Proof of delivery)
- Scanning PODs
- General office administration answering the telephone, filing and photocopying etc
- Liaison with warehouse staff, drivers and other departments and depots
- Communicating job details to transport drivers
- Any other reasonable request made by management
**Essential**:
The ideal individual will be: flexible, a team player, able to work to deadlines and on own initiative. Will have excellent IT, planning, communication, organisational and problem solving skills and will be able to work under pressure in a busy transport office.
**Desirable**:
Ideally will have previous proven experience in a similar role within freight / logistics
