The primary function of the Local Regulatory Compliance Specialist is to be an integral part of the UK & Ireland Trade Compliance and Governance Team and to support the Trade Compliance and Governance Lead, ensuring all business is compliant and in line with Emerson Automation Solutions requirements, enabling ethical trade and growth to the business and further developing relationships with our customers and representatives.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:

- Be familiar with all Trade Compliance requirements with regards to embargos and sanctions, as laid down in the European and UK procedures, to ensure a consistently high level of customer service is delivered from quote to cash
- Continue to help drive the Due Diligence / Checkpoint process for the legal entity as a Checkpoint Champion
- Prioritize workload effectively, ensuring deadlines are met
- Support tool releases (e.g. TradeSphere & TRAX upgrades)
- Undertake internal International Trade Compliance (ITC) audits to ensure the organization is compliant in line with British Standards Institution (BSI) standards
- Provide support for all ITC classification queries and/or critical issues

**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:

- Qualification from an Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE) or related studies preferred
- Previous Trade compliance experience
- Good understanding of UK/EU/UN/US Export requirements, including working with sanctioned/embargoed countries ideal / full training will be provided
- Computer literacy
- English fluency to business standard
