Project Management of the Tendering, Procurement, Packing and Shipping,
- Liaison with Customers and suppliers as required in support of spares management
- Initiating invoicing for the group as required.
- Shipping with interfacing to formal organizations for international paperwork.
- Shipping through MOD portal
- Act as a Point of Contact within the IAP overall supply organization.
- Ensure goods arrive by planned delivery date.
- Action specific tasks in accordance with the Tasking Procedure.
- To organise the movement of all Airfreight, Sea Freight, Road and Courier shipments in support of current and future Projects.
- Ensuring all appropriate packing lists, shipping invoices and other export documentation are correctly raised as required
- Ensure that shipments are picked and packed as required.
- Execute delivery of the above shipments generating all necessary paperwork and purchasing requests. Liaison with shipping contractors is required. Implementing any export licensing that requires action.
- Liaise with freight forwarders to obtain quotations for packing and transport activities (Worldwide) by air/sea/road and to progress shipments and documentation required.
- Required to liaise and negotiate with new & existing freight forwarders to obtain best quality and value for money.
- Maintain direct liaison with project managers to ensure all Shipping and transport activities in support of fast-moving project specific contracts and programmes are fully met.
- Assist the Estimating, Planning and Proposals Team to obtain quotes for the Logistical aspect of all potential BIDS as required.
- Raise requisitions and Purchase Orders in support of both projects and general Logistical requirements.
- Assist in maintaining accurate Stock Inventory on COSTPOINT.
- Goods receiving/processing
- To be compliant with known consignor status
- To perform warehouse checks as required (Fire Alarms, racking, FLT)
- Warehouse housekeeping
- To carry out other tasks within his/her ability and competence as directed by the Supply Chain Manager
