HR Administrator

Our Client is a market leading food manufacturing organisation and they are looking to add an outstanding individual to their HR team. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with previous experience working in a busy HR department ideally within manufacturing or logistics.
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Administrator provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services for the HR department. The HRA will administer, support and enforce all policies relating to all phases of human resources, along with administering employee benefits, support recruitment and retention processes, and assist with employee engagement projects by performing the following duties:
**The Role**:
- Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.
- Updates employee files to document HR actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation to include exit interviewing.
- Daily update of signage in mfg. plant, tracking important dates to employees (birthdays, anniversaries etc ) on employee bulletin boards.
- Examines employee files to answer enquiries and provides information to authorised persons.
- Compiles and maintains records for use in employee benefits administration.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, HR transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Plans and conducts interviews
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Performs background checks on applicants.
- Responds to enquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, annual, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Assists with HR projects as outlined by the HR Manager
**The person**:
- Progressive Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
- Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
- Strong understanding of employee law.
- Experience administering employee benefit plans, recruitment and compensation plans.
- IT literate, Microsoft Office essential & HR system experience
