HR Advisor

The HR Advisor is required to partner with our busy and dynamic sites, reporting to the UK HR Manager. The role will provide a comprehensive HR partnering service to the business working on key HR, business and Group projects. The role will work in collaboration with our HR Administrator to ensure all transactional elements of HR are managed in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.
This is a generalist role, reinforcing HR within the role of line managers as well as providing commercially/market relevant coaching and HR business partnering to the site management team.
**Job Requirements**
- Respond to a wide range of internal enquiries, relating to HR issues, in a professional manner, ensuring that internal stakeholders receive timely, accurate and valuable advice.
- Taking responsibility for supporting and advising line managers on all employee relations matters, as and when required ensuring best practice is maintained
- Proactive management of complex employee relations issues in line with Essentra policies & procedures
- Coaching and mentoring first line managers to ensure ownership of ‘HR as a line manager’
- Using people metrics, proactively identify areas for development and improvement
- Using experience, skills and knowledge of the HR industry to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement, retention and talent development and succession planning
- Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders
- Working with the site Employee Engagement Focus Group to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Support the HR Manager with pay review and bonus processes, taking the lead on the administrative aspects of these.
- Undertake and support HR projects within the business including employee engagement, internal communications, training and development, business development, organisational development and change management
- Support the implementation and roll-out of Group initiatives within the UK business
- Support graduate and apprentice development programmes as appropriate
- Liaise with the HR Administrator and the Payroll team regarding ER, administrative and payroll activities, ensuring that these are carried out in a timely and accurate manner
- Give appropriate HR business partnering support (employment law related and/or Essentra policies) to line managers and employees as and when required
**Required Skills & Experience**:
- Level 3 CIPD Diploma in Human Resource Management
- Experience of working in an operational HR role providing business partnering advice and guidance on UK employment law and HR issues
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Confidential and proactive approach to work
- Be prepared to travel nationally between UK Component sites as required
- Ability to prepare and report on sensitive and complex information as required
- Use of HR systems and Microsoft Office products
- Thorough experience of resolving complex casework problems
- Strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels
