We are excited to have the opportunity to find a qualified **HGV technician** to join our engineering team at our **Chesterfield** site and play a key role of the servicing and repairing of our large fleet of vehicles in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

**Shifts : 4 on 4 off**

**Qualifications**: NVQ Level 2 - Essential - NVQ Level 3 - Desirable

**You will be responsible for**:

- Maintaining sites HGVs and ensuring the work is completed on time and as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensuring all breakdowns and reactive works are completed with high standards and in a timely manner.
- Accurately diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults with the HGV's and across the site.
- Taking proactive measures to improve ways of working.
- Accurately communicating technical information and outstanding work with your team mates
- Escalating issues to relevant managers.

- Carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance and pass all legal and company specified tests
- Maintain vehicles to the highest standards of maintenance
- Ensure all work is accurately documented
- Demonstrate good diagnostic and fault-finding skills ensuring first-time fix
- Have experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Be confident working alone and as part of a team
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be very self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
