Job Overview

Ford & Slater Limited is seeking a highly skilled LCV / Vehicle Technician to join our team in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a leading DAF Truck dealer group. The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Technician / Mechanic and will possess excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and maintaining a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Conducting safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT's
  • Working with a range of technical equipment and software
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Technician / Mechanic within the Car, LCV, Van, HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector
  • A technical qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • A full UK driving licence
