About the Role:

Chesterfield is home to a number of leading heavy engineering companies, and we are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join one of these businesses as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting electrical faults, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance: Conduct regular electrical maintenance on heavy engineering equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  2. Troubleshooting: Use your technical skills to diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, providing valuable insights into equipment performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Experience: Proven track record in electrical maintenance within a heavy engineering setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and components, with a focus on efficiency and safety.
  4. Flexibility: Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, and afters, to meet the needs of the business.
  5. Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, heavy engineering environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
