Software Engineering Lead required for one of the coolest tech companies to set up in NI over the past 15 years.

**The Role**
- Lead a diverse team of around 4-6 engineers, including Junior, Mid, Senior, and Staff levels.
- This role is circa 50% leadership, 50% hands on with coding required.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to define requirements, craft user stories, and develop roadmaps, adhering to agile methodologies.
- Conduct regular 1:1s with team members, fostering an open and supportive environment, and make yourself available for assistance as needed.
- Present regularly to stakeholders through sprint reviews and monthly product steering meetings, fostering knowledge sharing, training, and mobbing sessions.
- Maintain a hands-on engineering contribution to the team and product.
- Build and enhance features for our clients electronic Point of Sale system, back office admin APIs, primarily using React/Node.js etc
- Manage a microservices ecosystem, utilizing Dockerized containers deployed on Kubernetes with an API gateway proxy and JWT for authorization between services.
- Oversee services built in, Node (JS), react and Python.
- Facilitate code reviews and engage in regular pair programming sessions.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration using Jenkins and CircleCI, ensuring regular automated deployments to staging and production environments multiple times per week

**Your Technical Skills**:

- Proven track record in successfully leading teams through the execution of software projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js, Typescript, React, and/or similar languages/frameworks, with a strong preference for full-stack familiarity.
- Professional experience demonstrating expertise in SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is considered a valuable bonus.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with stakeholders across diverse teams and disciplines.
- In-depth understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Solid grasp of Agile development principles and continuous delivery best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capability to provide effective coaching, mentoring, and context to team members.
- Strong comprehension of effective testing strategies, coupled with the ability to implement the right level of test automation.
- Knowledge of major cloud services such as GCP or AWS is advantageous.
